About the 2007 AP® Annual Conference

The Annual Conference of the Advanced Placement Program® is the largest annual gathering of the AP® and Pre-AP® communities from across the United States and throughout the world. The conference provides professional development opportunities, information, and resources on the College Board's Advanced Placement Program to AP teachers, AP Coordinators, administrators, middle school teachers, and counselors. The Program serves as a cooperative educational endeavor between secondary schools, colleges, and universities. Counted among the AP community are more than 130,000 teachers who lead 37 AP courses in 22 subject areas in high schools across the United States and the world. In addition to middle school teachers of varying disciplines, nearly 60 percent of U.S. high schools currently participate in the AP Program.

APAC 2007 Attendees' Subject Areas

In 2006, the AP Annual Conference in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, drew over 3,100 members from the AP and K-16 communities during four days of workshops, panel discussions, presentations, and exhibits. The AP Annual Conference 2007 in Las Vegas promises to be a banner event as AP continues to grow rapidly, as the AP Course Audit is implemented this year, and as the redesigning of the AP Program's History and Science courses is under way.
