The Blues, 1992 Following the example of such early twentieth-century Cubists as Picasso and Braque, Alex Corbbrey dissects his image into a series of block-like shapes. Magically the music itself becomes tangible, wafting around the guitarist and the harmonica player, forming an enclave and sanctuary. Corbbrey's mosaic-like prints often invite the viewer to decipher the image and the story being told. |
