The Palisade Preparatory School promotes a nurturing, safe environment that encourages personal growth, academic excellence, and leadership qualities that lead to college entrance and success. Students are encouraged to become leaders within their school and community during their years at Palisade Prep and beyond.
Our curriculum offers a continuum of instruction from middle school through high school, with a strong focus on written and oral communication skills. We prepare students to be bilingual and aware of local, national, and global affairs. Our academically challenging curriculum leads to an Advanced Regents diploma, which ensures that our students have access to higher education and prepares them to compete and succeed in the global workforce.
Instruction is student-centered, with an emphasis on the New York State Core Curriculum accompanied by a strong English/Language Arts component. Through the mastery of critical thinking skills, as well as written and oral communication, Palisade Prep students are exposed to the foundation skills upon which academic success is built.
Our school draws on a professionally trained team of teachers and staff members who create a highly effective learning environment. Employing resources from both the College Board and the Yonkers Public School System ensures academic success for all students. Palisade Prep fosters high expectations, effective social skills, and citizenship. Students have access to world languages, fine arts, physical education, and other instruction along with a rich and challenging core curriculum. Palisade Prep focuses on written and spoken language skill development and an appreciation of literature and the humanities.
Our school is uniquely structured to educate, support, and guide students from middle school through high school graduation, building bridges from earlier grades that ultimately lead to college success.
