Queens Collegiate promotes a nurturing, safe environment that encourages personal growth, academic excellence, and leadership qualities, which lead to college entrance and success. Students are encouraged to become leaders within their school, local, national, and international communities. Our curriculum offers a continuum of instruction from middle school through high school, with a strong focus on written and oral communication skills. We prepare students to be multilingual and aware of local, national, and global affairs. Our academically challenging curriculum leads to an Advanced Regents diploma that ensures our students access to higher education and prepares them to compete and succeed in the global workforce. Instruction is student-centered and project-based, with an emphasis on the New York State core curriculum, world languages, conflict resolution and negotiation, critical thinking skills, and written and oral communication.
Core Values
We are committed to the development of global citizens whose core values are scholarship, integrity, individuality, and empowerment. These four values reflect our school community's commitment to our mission, grounded on the premise that our students are future leaders who will influence their communities and the world at large.
Scholarship
Queens Collegiate believes that all students should engage in a well-rounded liberal arts education that includes work in the sciences, languages, mathematics, and arts. We believe that as students learn about the world around them, they are prepared for opportunities in higher education and inspired to act for worthy causes.
Integrity
Queens Collegiate encourages students to be accountable for their actions and to be guided by the values of honesty and ethics.
Individuality
Queens Collegiate recognizes that students are unique in their individual personality, interests, talents, and academic goals. We value this diversity and appreciate the characteristics that make other cultures distinctive. We emphasize respect for each other and for all of the world's people.
Empowerment
Queens Collegiate students make decisions and act on committees to guide the direction of their education. We believe that as students are empowered in their education, they develop confidence, greater self-esteem, and the capability for leadership.
