Major: Audiology
Students of audiology focus on the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss and other disorders involving the ear. They also learn to counsel patients on using hearing aids and making the most of their remaining hearing. Topics of study include the science of hearing; hearing measurement, therapies, and technologies; middle and inner ear analysis; and specialties such as the treatment of children.
