Schedule Dedicated "Course Time"
The Official SAT Online Course is like any other learning tool: The more time students spend with the course, the more they will benefit from it.
While the flexibility of the course ensures that every school can implement the program in its own unique way, the following tip represents one example of how teachers can help guarantee that all students enjoy regular access to the course.
Set aside dedicated "course time" during regular school hours when students can use school computers to access the course. Students can use this time to work on specific assignments, or to pursue independent study.
At Deep Run High School in Glen Allen, Virginia, where all students have their own laptop computers, English teacher Connie Fuller regularly assigns practice essays as a classroom activity. In schools with only a handful of classroom computers, students should take turns accessing the course, ensuring that everyone gets a chance to do so during school hours. If a computer lab is available, schedule time at regular intervals when the entire class can go to the lab and access the course.
The key lies in guaranteeing all students regular access to the course, whatever computer resources happen to be available.

Can educators generate student access codes within the online course?
A student needs an access code to register for the online course. If a student does not have an access code, you may generate one from within the online course:
Go to the Class Management tab.
Click on the Manage Student Access Codes link.
Enter the number of access codes you wish to generate and click Generate.
You will see the newly created student codes listed.
For information about the new student registration process, please review this FAQ and tutorial.
