AP Annual Conference 2010

Sponsor and Exhibitor Information

The AP Annual Conference is the largest gathering of Advanced Placement Program® (AP) and Pre-AP® communities from across the United States and throughout the world. The conference features four days of workshops, panel discussions, presentations and exhibits focused on professional development, information and resources for AP teachers, AP Coordinators, administrators, middle school teachers and counselors.

The College Board’s AP Program is a rigorous academic program built on the passion, dedication and commitment of a community of students and educators from around the world. For more than 50 years, it has fostered collaboration among college faculty and AP teachers to prepare students for college success and advance academic excellence in high schools. More than 17,000 schools worldwide offer over 30 college-level AP courses, and more than 3,600 colleges and universities recognize AP for credit, placement and/or admission decisions.

For both the AP teachers who create the more than 130,000 course syllabi and the middle school teachers who join them in making up the AP community, professional development is a vital aspect of their continuing efforts to provide their students with the very best AP experience. For this reason, more than 3,200 members of the community attended AP Annual Conference 2009 in San Antonio, Texas, last year. This year’s conference in Washington, D.C., will feature two important new breakout strands for attendees. The first will expand the professional development opportunities to include the College Board’s SpringBoard® program, and the second will address the expansion of access and equity for students.

The sponsorship and exhibitor packages described in this prospectus provide expanded opportunities for organizations to showcase their products and services at AP Annual Conference 2010. Please join us in Washington, D.C., as we continue our work to develop a new generation of AP teachers and support them in their efforts to place their students on the path to college and the great opportunities beyond.
