We are pleased to hold the AP Annual Conference 2010 in our nation's Capitol. Washington, D.C. is home to notable landmarks and other attractions such as Rock Creek Park and the historic district of Georgetown—all easily accessible by metro.
Washington D.C. is a vibrant city with new activities and rejuvenated landmarks opening all the time. The museum at Ford's Theatre—site of President Lincoln's assassination—reopened in July of 2009, once again making its collection of historic artifacts available to the public.

The Eastern Market, devastated in a 2007 fire, reopened in June 2009. It's been located on Capitol Hill since 1873 and has been a popular source of locally produced foods and crafts.
In July, the U.S. Department of Agriculture expanded their People's Garden initiative to the roof-top of the Economic Research Service building in addition to conducting healthy gardening workshops at their headquarters.
