Traveling to the Hilton New York

The Hilton New York is located at 1335 6th Avenue (also called “Avenue of the Americas”) between West 53rd and West 54th Streets.

From John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK)

  • New York City taxis are available at the airport 24 hours a day.
    A taxi ride from JFK to the Hilton will take at least 45 minutes and can take significantly longer depending on traffic.  As per New York City regulations, the cost is a flat fare of $45. This price does not include tip.

  • JFK has its own train, the AirTrain, that connects to the E subway line on the New York City subway, which goes to a station within a block of the hotel. This trip takes at least an hour and a half and costs $7.00.

    Take the JFK AirTrain to Jamaica Station and transfer to the Manhattan-bound E train.  Exit the E train at the 7th Avenue stop.  Please note that there are roughly 20 stops between the Jamaica and 7th Avenue stops.

From LaGuardia Airport (LGA)

  • New York City taxis are available at the airport 24 hours a day.
    A taxi ride from LGA to the Hilton takes at least 35 minutes and can take significantly longer depending on traffic.  The cost is at least $30 plus tip.

From Newark Liberty Airport (EWR)

  • The trip by cab will cost roughly $60, not including tip, and depending on traffic. Taxis are available at the airport 24 hours a day. To go from Newark to the hotel, you can take a cab from a company licensed to operate in New Jersey (as opposed to a New York City yellow taxi). New Jersey cabs vary in color and size; their fares also vary.  The trip from Newark to the Hilton is roughly an hour, depending on traffic.
  • Newark has its own train, the AirTrain, which connects to Amtrak and NJ Transit trains that go to Penn Station in Manhattan. Both services have frequent trains to Manhattan. For travel between Penn Station and the Hilton, see below.

From Pennsylvanian Train Station (Penn Station)

  • A taxi will take roughly 15 minutes (depending on traffic) and cost about $8.00 – $10.00.
  • Take the Uptown E subway directly from Penn Station to the 7th Avenue stop.  Travel time is approximately 20 minutes and the cost is $2.00.

From Grand Central Station

  • A taxi will take roughly 10 minutes (depending on traffic) and cost about $6.00 – $8.00.
  • There is no direct subway service from Grand Central to the Hilton.  Take the Uptown 4, 5, or 6 subway from Grand Central to the 59th Street stop.  Then transfer to the Downtown N, R, or W train to the 57th Street stop. Travel time is approximately 20 minutes and the cost is $2.00.

From the Port Authority Bus Terminal

  • A taxi will take roughly 10 minutes (depending on traffic) and cost about $6.00 – $8.00.
  • Take the Uptown E subway directly from Port Authority to the 7th Avenue stop.  Travel time is approximately 15 minutes and the cost is $2.00.
