1980's
By 1980, the College Board appointed an Advisory Panel on Minority Concerns to advise Board officials. Alfredo de los Santos chaired the panel. The Board's Advisory Panel on Minority Concerns recommended the creation of a program designed to improve the secondary curriculum so that is was not "damaging" to minority students. Out of this came the Educational Equality project, which addressed the dual concerns of equality and quality.
