In the context of the task force, “being at our best” means contributing all of our experience and knowledge to a common effort for the common good. This requires leaving institutional self-interest at the door, listening fully to colleagues from very different educational settings, and being bold enough to critique the less noble aspects of admission and enrollment practices.
