As a result of this policy, all public institutions will award CLEP credit for 32 CLEP exams at a cut score of 50. The policy will make it easier for traditional and nontraditional students to earn college credit, and will reduce future college costs and facilitate timely college graduation. In addition, it will simplify students' transfer process from two-year to four- year colleges or universities.

Students will benefit from this essential policy starting in fall 2012.
