On Aug. 1, 2012, at the National College Testing Association Conference in Minneapolis, the CLEP® Program announced its plans to migrate from a computer-based testing platform to an Internet-based testing platform (iBT) by spring 2014. The participating test center administrators received the news with enthusiasm. As a result of the migration to the more sophisticated iBT platform — which will be integrated with the student registration feature "My Account" on the CLEP website — test center administrators will enjoy a simplified check-in process and and a more stable performance with reduced software changes, among other benefits.
