Return/Refund Policy
College Board will accept returns for most items in new, unused and resalable condition within 30 days of the order date with a copy of the packing slip. We cannot accept returns of CD's or videos that have been opened. Please note that shipping charges are not refundable.
Online subscription products such as, but not limited to, The Official SAT Online Course™ are not refundable.
Electronic document returns can only be processed within 7 days of the purchase date by sending an email to Customer Service at store_help@collegeboard.com. The customer will be required to submit a Letter of Destruction to process the return/refund of an electronic document. Refunds for approved returns will be processed within 7-10 business days of receipt of returned items. Electronic document refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of receipt of the Letter of Destruction.
Cancellations
An order cannot be changed / altered or cancelled once it has been submitted to the College Board Store for processing.
Requirements for Secure Shopping
Purchasing items in the Store requires the secure transmission of information from your computer. Although most current browsers provide this security by default, individuals using the latest versions of Internet Explorer or Firefox can check their settings by following these instructions. If you're using Safari, secure transmission is always enabled. Otherwise, select your browser's help feature for more information.
Configuring the security settings for Internet Explorer
- Click on Tools and select Internet Options.
- In the Internet Options window, select the Advanced tab.
- Scroll down to Security and check Use SSL 3.0 and Use TLS 1.0.
Configuring the security settings for Firefox
- Click on Tools and select Options.
- In the Options window, select the Advanced tab.
- Select the Encryption tab and check Use SSL 3.0 and Use TLS 1.0.

All personal information is securely managed. For additional information, please review our Privacy Policy. You must be 13 years of age or older to make an online purchase.
Product Search
You can locate any product in the College Board Store by using the Product Search tool. Type in a word or phrase that relates to a general product you are looking for, and click on the Go button. To locate a specific item, type in its name or item number, and then click on Go. You may locate specific products that have to do with your area of expertise. By using the Browse Category menu, you can locate products by program or area of interest. To search for all products related to AP, just click on AP. A list of subcategories related to AP appears and the search result is updated with all AP products. If you select a subcategory, the search result only displays products associated with that subcategory.
Please Note: Not every item found on the College Board's website www.collegeboard.com is available for sale in the College Board Store.
Adding Items to Your Shopping Cart
When you find a product in the Store that you wish to purchase, you should add that item to your Shopping Cart. Select the product, type in the quantity you want to order, and click on the Add to Cart button. This sends the product(s) to your Shopping Cart. You may then continue to shop for other products. View the content of your Shopping Cart by hovering over View Cart at the top right of the screen. The cart view expands and displays up to 5 products, their individual prices, and options to either See Full Cart or Checkout. Click on See Full Cart to view the details of your Shopping Cart, or to add or delete items. To change the quantity of an item while in the Shopping Cart, type in the new quantity and click on the Update button. If you want to remove an item, click on Delete, to the right of the product. To delete all the items in your Shopping Cart, click on the Remove All.
Please Note: The subtotal at the bottom of the Shopping Cart does not include shipping and handling charges.
Checking Out and Making Your Purchase
Once you are satisfied with your shopping and wish to purchase the items in your Shopping Cart, simply click on the Check Out button to finalize your order. Type the shipping address and billing address for your order. If the billing address is the same as the shipping address, simply check the box labeled Same as Shipping Address. When your address information is completed, click the Continue button. Select the method of shipping available to your address. Click the Continue button. Enter your credit card information, including the expiration date and the full name on the credit card. Be sure to review ALL order information before clicking the Place Order button.
You will not be able to change / alter or cancel your order after clicking the Place Order button. As soon as you click the Place Order button, you will be given an Order Number. Be sure to keep this number in a safe place.
U.S. Domestic Orders
- Please allow 24 hours for processing after receipt of order. Same day shipping is not available for any orders placed through the Online Store.
- The College Board does not process orders for shipping on Saturday, Sunday or Major Holidays. Orders received on these days will be processed and shipped on the next business day.
- UPS is the preferred method of shipping for all orders. Note that UPS (Ground or Rush) cannot be used for shipments to Post Office Box addresses. All orders with P.O. Box addresses will be shipped via the US Postal Service.
- Please allow up to 7 to 10 business days for delivery (non-RUSH deliveries).
- Note that rush deliveries cannot be sent to post office box addresses. Please provide a street address for rush orders.
- Applicable sales tax will be applied to all orders. Tax Exempt status, please see Offline Ordering.
- Purchasers may return currently in-print publications in resalable condition within 30 days of receipt of order for a refund of the purchase price and applicable sales tax. Original shipping charges and return shipping charges are not refundable. A copy of the original packing slip must be included with the return.
- All claims concerning dates of damaged or missing shipments must be received within 30 days of receipt of order.
- UPS call tags will not be issued for returns unless an error was made by the seller in merchandise shipped.
- Orders shipped to Army Post Office (APO) and Fleet Post Office (FPO) addresses are sent via the U.S. Postal Service. The ground 7-10 business day domestic shipping charges apply.
- USPS postage for videos and CD's - $6.00 per item unless noted otherwise.

Entering Army Post Office (APO) and Fleet Post Office (FPO) Addresses
- Enter the recipient's first name, last name, and address in the appropriate fields.
- Enter "APO" or "FPO" in the city field.
- Select "AE" from the State/Province drop-down menu if the recipient is stationed in Europe, Canada, Africa, or the Middle East.
- Select "AA" from the State/Province drop-down menu if the recipient is stationed in the Americas.
- Select "AP" from the State/Province drop-down menu if the recipient is stationed in Asia or the Pacific.
- Select "United States" from the Country drop-down menu.
Domestic Shipping & Handling (S & H) Charges
Ground (7-10 business days)
- $00.01 - $20 orders: $5
- $20.01 - $40 orders: $6
- $40.01 - $70 orders: $7
- $70.01+ orders: 10% of the total dollar value of your order
Rush Orders
Faster delivery is available for an additional fee. You are charged the domestic ground S & H, plus the fee listed for the rush service you require:
- 3rd Day Select (3 business days): $15
- 2nd Day Air (2 business days): $25
- Overnight (1 business day): $30
International Orders
- Please allow 24 hours for processing after receipt of order.
- Please allow four to six weeks after receipt of order for delivery.
- International orders may be shipped via US Postal Service, UPS International, or UPS Canada Standard. You will be charged as noted below:
- US Postal Service - $40.00 per order flat fee
- UPS International - $120.00 per order flat fee to all destinations
- UPS Canada Standard - $20.00 per order flat fee
- Orders shipped to Army Post Office (APO) and Fleet Post Office (FPO) addresses are sent via the U.S. Postal Service. Ground domestic shipping charges apply.
- Customs Fees and VAT (Value Added Tax) are not included in our shipping charges. These fees must be paid by the customer once the package reaches the destination country. These charges are the customers' responsibility and will vary from country to country. The College Board cannot determine the amount of these fees; we recommend that you check with your local customs office or post office for details on how these charges are assessed and applied before you place your order.
- Purchasers may return currently in-print publications in resalable condition within 30 days of receipt of order for a refund or credit. A copy of the original packing slip must be included.
- All claims concerning dates of damaged or missing shipments must be received within 30 days of receipt of invoice.
- Postage for videos and CDs - same as noted above unless noted otherwise.
- International wholesalers and retailers may call (212) 713-8165 for assistance.
International Shipping & Handling
- Delivery can take up to six weeks after receipt of order.
- Most shipments via UPS International arrive within 10 business days, but you must allow up to 6 weeks for delivery.
- Please allow four to six weeks for delivery for shipments via US Postal Service and UPS Canada Standard.
- Postage is charged as noted below:
- US Postal Service - $40.00 per order flat fee
- UPS International - $120.00 per order flat fee to all destinations

Educational Institutions / Bulk Purchases
The College Board Online Store is geared towards the individual consumer. Currently, there is no method to identify tax-exempt customers through our Online Store. Your order is charged applicable sales tax. College Board Membership discounts and volume discounts (5 or more of the same item) cannot be applied online at this time.
To better assist institutional customers, our Order Form includes instructions on placing orders via regular mail, fax, or telephone. Using the Order Form allows for tax-exemption and discounts.

Electronic Document and Download Help
How do I view electronic documents?
To view your electronic documents you will need to have Adobe Reader installed on your computer. If you don't have Adobe Reader, you may download it for free by clicking here.
How do I access an electronic document that I have already purchased?
To access an electronic document, submit your Order Number and Product Password using our online form.
Where can I find my Order Number?
Check your order confirmation email for you order number, or contact Customer Service.
How do I request my product password for an electronic document?
Your product password will allow you to access an electronic document you have purchased. To request to have your password emailed to you please enter your order number using our online form and your password for that product will be e-mailed to the address that you supplied when you placed your order.
How many times can I download an electronic document?
You can download an electronic document that you have purchased up to three (3) times.
How long is an electronic document available to download after the date of purchase?
An electronic document must be downloaded within 30 days from the date of purchase.
How do I download and save an electronic document?
There are three options for gaining access to a purchased electronic document:
- Click on the "Download Now" link on your Order Confirmation page.
- Follow the instructions here.
- Click on the link in your confirmation email.
The steps you can follow to download and save an electronic document are as follows:
- Click the Download Now link next to the product title in the Order Confirmation page or in the Download Product page (clicking the link in your confirmation e-mail and entering your order number/password above will direct you to the Download product page).
- Click the Save button in the File Download dialog box.
- Select Desktop in the Save As dialog box (or navigate to and select a different Save As location on your computer).
- Click Save. (You may change the name of the file, but DO NOT change the filename extension, the .pdf)
- Locate and double-click the file on your Desktop (or other location if not saved to your Desktop) to open it.

What if the download stops before it is complete?
If for some reason your download is interrupted before the file is saved, re-download the file here. If, when saving your re-download, the Save As dialog displays a message that a file with the same name exists and asks if you want to replace it or overwrite it, say yes and save the new download. See the download instructions above.
I have finished downloading where do I find it?
If you did not save the file on your Desktop, then you will have to navigate to the location on your computer where you did save it. If you know the filename, you can search for it on your computer.
What is your refund policy for electronic document?
All refund requests for electronic documents must be made within 7 days of the purchase date. Refunds will be applied to the credit card that was originally charged.
Since there are no physical goods to return we will require a customer requesting a refund to guarantee that they have not kept the goods by requiring them to submit a Letter of Destruction (LOD) to The College Board. Please see "How do I request a refund?" for instructions.
How do I cancel my order for an electronic document?
You may only cancel an order for an electronic document if the document has not been downloaded. Please contact Customer Service to cancel an electronic document purchase.
How do I request a refund?
To request a refund for an electronic document please contact Customer Service.
When will the refund appear on my credit card?
For approved refunds, the refund credit will be posted to your credit card account within 7-10 business days of the College Board Customer Service Representative submitting the refund request.

All APSI customers will be given a user name and password and link to access the special APSI Section of the College Board's Online Store. User information will be supplied to APSI directors by email, or regular mail if necessary. APSI Directors who have not received usernames and passwords should contact apsihelp@collegeboard.org.
Vertical Teams Publications
There is no longer the need to place two separate orders for materials. Vertical Teams publications can now be ordered at the same time! The information that follows will provide instructions on how to place an order.

Shipping and handling will not be charged on APSI orders placed ten (10) business days before date needed.

Ordering non APSI Titles
Orders that include non APSI titles will be charged postage for only the non APSI item ordered at the standard postage rate located on this page.
