Services for Students with Disabilities

What You and Your Child Need to Know

The College Board is committed to serving students with disabilities by providing services and reasonable accommodations appropriate to the student's disability and the purpose of the exam. Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) provides Advanced Placement Program® (AP®), PSAT/NMSQT®, and SAT® testing accommodations for students who have documented disabilities.

Your child only has to submit one SSD Student Eligibility Form to request accommodations on College Board tests (AP, SAT, and PSAT/NMSQT), and as long as your child is enrolled at the same school, the school-approved accommodations will remain the same throughout high school.

Talk to Your Child's Counselor

Your child's counselor can guide you and your child through this process. The counselor should have all the information and forms necessary. Your signature is required on the SSD Student Eligibility Form, so be sure to talk to your child early about finding the right accommodations and meeting all deadlines.

For More Information

You and your child can find more information for students in our Services for Students with Disabilities section.
