PSAT/NMSQT

Connecting your students to opportunities beyond high school

Understanding your students' strengths and skills is essential to helping them succeed in high school and beyond. Grades and teacher feedback can provide important information. But how do their skills compare nationally? Is there a way to gauge their skills objectively—and help them build on strengths and address weaknesses?

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) is a rigorous, national assessment that measures the critical reading, mathematics, and writing skills your students will need for higher education and careers after high school.  Last year, over 23,000 schools opened the door to college for over 3.4 million students by administering the PSAT/NMSQT.
