Password Help
Your user name and password give you access to College Board services and to personal information that you've saved.
If You Forget Your Password
If you forget your password, you can click "Forgot Your Password?" on the collegeboard.com home page or "Did You Forget?" under any sign-in window to see your password hint, password, or user name.
I forgot my password
If you're still having password trouble after using the password help, email customer service at sat@info.collegeboard.org or speak to a Customer Service Representative at 866 756-7346 (From outside U.S., dial: 212 713-7789.)
If the Password Reset Link Doesn’t Work
Some email programs have trouble handling a Web address that spans more than one line, so they'll only underline and link the very first line. Please make sure that the full Web address is appearing as an underlined link in the email. If it isn’t, just copy the address and paste it into your browser's address bar. You may have to copy and paste the address in two parts to glue the full address back together.
If Your Account Is Locked
For your security, we will lock your collegeboard.com account if someone has failed multiple times to sign in with your user name. Your account will be locked for 30 minutes and you'll receive an email with details and instructions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but we want to take every precaution to ensure the integrity of your account.
If you forgot your password and were trying unsuccessfully to guess it, please go to the "Forgot Your Password?" page to have it reset. If you are not the person who attempted to sign in to your account, we suggest that you make sure your password is as secure as possible.
Password Security
It's a good idea to change your password periodically -- for example, every six months. And certainly change your password if you've told it to anyone or suspect that someone may have access to your account.
