My Major & Career Matches
When you registered for the SAT�, you were asked to select a major in which you had an interest. My Major & Career Matches connects you to MyRoad(TM), where you can learn more about that major as well as related majors and careers.
MyRoad is an interactive website that helps you plan for the future with articles on majors and careers as well as many other features. The information you save in MyRoad?lists of majors, colleges, and careers that interest you, the results from your personality test, and other personal details?remains accessible to you in MyRoad throughout your high school years.
MyRoad(TM) Majors and Careers
The MyRoad major we suggest you explore may be different from the one you chose when you took the SAT�. The major you chose could be a specialization of the MyRoad major or closely related to that major.
To learn more about any major or career not listed in My Major & Career Matches, simply follow the link to MyRoad. Once you're there, click the "Explore Majors" tab or the "Research Careers" tab and look for the major or career you want?or just browse. You can also look up majors and careers in the Majors A-Z and Careers A-Z indexes.
ORA Personality Profiler
The ORA Personality Profiler is a personality test developed and researched by psychologist Dr. John Golden. After answering questions about yourself, you'll be able to read about the personality type, one of sixteen, you've been assigned. You'll also get recommendations for majors and careers well-suited to your type.
To take the personality test, go to MyRoad, click on the "I.D. Me" tab., then choose "ORA Personality Profiler."
MyRoad QuickStart Quizzes
Want to get major and career recommendations but don't have time to take a full-length personality test? MyRoad offers short questionnaires, QuickStart Majors and QuickStart Careers, which ask about your interests, values, and preferences. The resulting suggestions can start you on your journey and will likely introduce new ideas that you have not considered.
