View Score Report--SAT Reasoning Test
SAT scores are reported on a scale from 200 to 800, with additional subscores reported for the essay (ranging from 2-12) and for multiple-choice writing questions (on a 20-to-80 scale). Your scores tell college admission staff how you did compared with other students who took the test. For example, if you scored close to the mean or average—about 500 on SAT critical reading and 500 on SAT mathematics—admission staff would know that you scored as well as about half of the students who took the test.
Your SAT online score report tells you how you did on each section of the test--critical reading, mathematics, and writing. To view your performance on each section, select the correct tab.
Along with your scores, you are also given information such as score range, percentile, average scores, and further information about how you did on each section. For more information on these terms, select the "help" button next to each term.
In addition to the score reports you chose to send when you registered for the SAT, you can send scores to additional colleges and scholarship programs.
