Output Options
Internet Delivery Service (IDS)
Internet Delivery Service (IDS) is our standard output delivery method for all orders, and is provided to you at no additional charge. The order point of contact is automatically selected as the primary IDS contact. You will need a valid email address to designate an optional, secondary IDS Contact, i.e. the person whom we will contact and to whom we will provide an IDS password when your output is ready to download. Your Search output files will remain accessible to you for one year after the delivery date. As a result of hardware enhancements to the SSS system architecture, there will no longer be "IDS Blackout Periods" during which time your output is unavailable.
In order to further safeguard student information and comply with the College Board’s security policy, we are instituting new validation procedures when a secondary Internet Delivery Service (IDS) point of contact is designated. When you designate a secondary IDS contact in an order, they will receive a notice to formally request an SSS account. Once the account request is completed and submitted, an email notification will be sent to you (the order’s point of contact). IMPORTANT: you must review and approve the account request in order for the IDS contact to be given access to the order output. This process is only required once.
Sequence
You must indicate how you would like your output sorted:
- Alphabetically by student's last name
- By ZIP Code—records are sorted alphabetically by student's last name within ZIP codes
- By Intended College Major—records are sorted by ZIP code within majors, and alphabetically by student's last name within ZIP codes
Print Format
You must also indicate your choice of print format:
- All uppercase print format (preferred by the U. S. Postal Service)
- Upper and lowercase print format

Magnetic Media
Magnetic media is no longer offered as a data output option effective September 6, 2007. All Student Search Service users may access orders – at no cost – through our Internet Delivery Service (IDS); a secure interface within Student Search Service. This change is necessary to support security measures the College Board is implementing that will ensure the safest means of delivering personalized data to users.
