To most colleges and universities, the College Board's Student Search Service—or “SSS”—is synonymous with direct student recruitment, both postal and electronic. For more than thirty years, we've provided the largest source of qualified, college-bound prospects.
We have incorporated your needs and requests, trends in the dynamic admissions landscape, and evolving recruitment practices. No longer is Search an annual bulk mailing that takes place during the “quiet” winter months. You can conduct searches all day, everyday, in the mailbox, the inbox, or on the Web.
Policies & Guidelines
Student Search Service eligibility and usage policies protect students' privacy. SSS data can only be used to recruit or inform students about higher education admissions, financial aid and special academic programs and opportunities. Names cannot be used for commercial purposes, or for survey or market research of any kind, under any circumstances.
Students may "opt out" of SSS at any time by contacting Search Customer Service by email (Search Customer Service) or telephone at (866) 825-8051 or by using an online form (SSS Opt-Out Form).
