You can either choose no specification (select only students with email addresses) or select only students without email addresses. Selecting only students with email addresses can reduce the volume of names, because not all students give email addresses and not all the email addresses are correct. Although Search cleans email addresses according to standard email syntax conventions, such as number of characters and an @ sign, among others, we cannot guarantee that some email addresses will not bounce back. College Board research on email addresses indicates that there is still a significant bounce-back rate caused by changes to addresses after submission, changes in Internet providers, and changes requested by parents who do not want their office or home email used for this purpose.
