How Students "Opt In/Out"

Student permission to participate in Student Search Service (SSS) must be explicit. Students taking the PSAT/NMSQT, the SAT, and the AP Exams are presented with the option to participate in SSS by indicating their preference on the PSAT/NMSQT and AP Exam answer sheets, and on the SAT registration form. Participation is voluntary, and the vast majority of students who sat for College Board assessments took advantage of the opportunity last year. By saying "Yes" to SSS, students agree to allow us to share certain information about them with qualified SSS users only, and only for the purpose of disseminating information about higher education, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities. (See Authorized Usage)

A student may elect to "opt out" at any time by contacting SSS by email (Search Customer Service) or telephone at (866) 825-8051 or by using an online form (SSS Opt-Out Form).
