Sending Your Scores
About registration score sends
You receive four free score reports with your registration fee. We recommend that you take full advantage of the four free score reports included with your registration. These score reports are meant to encourage immediate and early reporting of scores to colleges, even before the results are seen.
When using registration score sends, you are required to send scores from the test that you have just registered for, but you can choose to not send scores from previous sittings of the SAT or individual SAT Subject Tests. The College Board processes scores for each SAT as quickly as possible after the test date. Scores are reported simultaneously to students, colleges, universities, and scholarship programs. Improvements in our overall score reporting process have successfully reduced the turnaround time for additional score reports.
FAQs
Q: Is Score Choice available for both SAT and SAT Subject Tests score reports?
A: Yes. You can select which scores you send to colleges by test date for the SAT and by individual test for SAT Subject Tests. When using free registration score sends, you must send the scores for all the tests you have just registered for (SAT or SAT Subject Tests).
Q: Can I change my registration score sends?
A: Yes. To make changes to score recipients, visit My SAT. You can update your score recipients until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, on the Monday one week after your scheduled test date.
Requesting Additional Score Reports Online:
The easiest way to send additional scores is online. The timeframes for score delivery vary, based on each institution's method of receiving scores. Please remember that an additional week may be needed for the score recipients to process your scores, once they receive them.
To send additional score reports:
- Go to the Scores page and click the View and Send Scores button. You'll be prompted to sign in to your personal SAT Registration and Scores page. If you haven't already created a user name and password, do so now.
- Click the Send Available Scores button.
- Search by name, state, code, or country for the colleges and scholarship programs you'd like to receive your scores.
- To use Score Choice, click on Choose Scores next to each program for which you'd like to select scores. To proceed without choosing scores, click Continue.
- You'll have the opportunity to edit your list of recipients or to choose regular or rush delivery of your scores.
- Review and print your confirmation page.
Payment must be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover). Once you submit your request online, it cannot be canceled.
There is a fee for sending additional score reports; however, if you are a fee-waiver-eligible student, you may have additional flexible score report credits, which are displayed on the scores page.
