Adolescent Suicide: The Role of Epidemiology in Public Health

Prerequisites: Student should have knowledge of how to calculate odds ratio

Summary: This unit will help students understand the contribution of epidemiology to the resolution of public health problems as well as understand evidence-based practice and its role in approaching public health issues. The unit will also contribute to studentsÂ’ increased knowledge about the frequency of adolescent suicide and about risk factors and interventions for adolescent suicide.
